This week we had another (though smaller) ice storm! It only lasted a day, but we were still on foot all afternoon. It's nice to see snow every once in a while! I also finally learned how to make beans and rice! A year and a half surrounded by Hispanics and I never knew how to make beans! Well, this past week I made us a pretty good lunch!
Other than that, this week was really uplifting! We had a lot of meetings, and we were instructed on how to better help people with their own missionary efforts. President Ames showed us that video (music video?) of the family doing missionary work while the choir from the special missionary-work Worldwide Leadership Training sings "I'll go where you want me to go." Something that has always stood out to me is how many times they pray! I have had little testimonies this week of asking for forgiveness through prayer and the power of listening to the prayers of others as we pray in groups! I realized that sometimes when my companion is praying I don't listen and usually don't remember the kind of things he has prayed for! I've been trying to pay attention to that more. Our desire to pray is largely determined by how much we value our relationship with God and nurturing that relationship.
Well, that's all my time for today! I love you all!

God Bless Texas! I am Elder Black. Thus I end mine epistle.
