The highlight of the week was definitely our newest member's baptism and confirmation! We taught her on Monday and Friday before her baptism on Saturday. On Monday we talked about scripture study and she kept receiving impressions of what she should do to help her family have the Book of Mormon in their life. Then on Friday we taught about prayer and watched one of President Monson's recent talks from conference. As soon as she opened the door on Friday night her face was completely lit up! Her home was so full of the Spirit and the excitement for her baptism that everything seemed brighter and happier! The happiest part, however, was her face! She was beaming the entire lesson! As soon as we sat down we asked her why she was so happy and she said it was because the next day she would finally be baptized and start her life over! She said she was so happy because she would finally be taking the step that would take out all the things she couldn't by herself.
She was already one of the best missionary-members even before her baptism bringing 2 of her daughters and a bunch of her grandchildren to the baptism!
God Bless Texas! I am Elder Black. Thus I end mine epistle.
