There were 2 baptisms on Saturday in the Spanish ward! Us and the Sisters!
There were a lot of Christmas miracles this week but I only have time for one:
It was with a guy that came to the Christmas activity with a member family. The whole time we were talking with him while we ate and during all the Christmas programs put on by the different Auxiliaries. We stopped on the youth one that was the story of the 3 Trees. I don't know if you've heard it, but the watered down version is there were 3 trees with different dreams: one wanted to be a treasure chest to hold the biggest treasures on the earth. the second wanted to be a mighty ship to carry important kings about their business. The third wanted to grow to be the tallest and stateliest tree in the forest, a majestic giant the other trees would look up to. They all got cut down and thought their dreams were ruined. However, the first was made into the manger that Christ was laid in as a baby and realized he carried the greatest treasure on the earth. The second was made into a small ship that ended up being the ship Christ was in when he calmed the storm. The tree (ship) realized he was carrying the greatest king on the earth. The last tree was the saddest because it didn't want to be made into anything, but it ended up being the wood they used to make the cross Jesus Christ was crucified on and he realized that the whole world would look up to that event. They all had their dream of what they wanted to become, but God made it even better than they imagined! This was exactly the message that he needed to hear!
God Bless Texas! I am Elder Black. Thus I end mine epistle.
