This is our zone! There are a ton of sisters in our zone! In all my other zones
the most we've had is 1 companionship!
One of our families dyed their dogs pink!!!!!!!
There were a ton of birds at this intersection!!!!!!!!!
Well, the weather has finally started to cool down! We have rain today and the temperature is in the mid-70's! Winter might get here eventually! Who knows?
We had a really good Zone training this week and we are really excited for where this mission is going to be in the short future! It's exciting to be able to see the growth in different parts of the mission, in our own stake, and even in our own area! The work of God rolls forth!
Here's an example: This week we have visited one investigator a few times. He is very open and always lets us in no matter what is going on in his house. We met his wife for the first time this week. We started talking about the Plan of Salvation, and then our investigator turned to his wife and started telling her the Joseph Smith story! He basically told the whole thing to her and then we backed him up by recounting his experience of the first vision. We asked him how he felt about Joseph Smith's experience. He responded: "muy convencido!!" Very convinced! He told us how it is something he feels in his heart! This was a fantastic opportunity to see how the spirit works in people!
Yesterday we visited a family where the son and his wife and kid recently got baptized. His parents are currently living with them to help them out. The missionaries have been teaching them for a while. This week, their parents came to visit from Mexico! There are currently 4 generations living in that house! Well, we started teaching the great-grandparents and they seem pretty interested! It's amazing to see the fire these people catch to share what they have learned even though they don't know much about it!! It is definitely the Spirit working in their hearts and helping them feel these desires and know that this is good! They gave us their address and we are going to send missionaries to visit a few family-members back in Mexico! We had a really good Zone training this week and we are really excited for where this mission is going to be in the short future! It's exciting to be able to see the growth in different parts of the mission, in our own stake, and even in our own area! The work of God rolls forth!
