This week was sweet! We didn't get to teach very much, apparently people like to go on vacation when school gets out or something. Pfft. People! We have been staying positive and working diligently to help people progress.
These last few weeks I have learned a lot about faith. Seeing the faith people have had to depend on to know that every thing would be alright after the tornado really opened my eyes and got me thinking about faith. Having the faith that I am doing what the Lord wants me to do, and more recently of the great desires He has for me have helped me a lot the past few weeks. It also helped that I got an awesome bunch of letters from my family :D !!!
One night this week Elder Duncan thought we should see a returning member that we have never been able to get in contact with, so we planned to go see her the next day at 8. That day, many of our plans fell through, so we decided to go try her a little early. As we were going up the stairs to her apartment door, Elder Duncan felt like we should have come at 8 like he had felt the night before. After no answer at the door, we decided that was what we would do. When we came back later she was home! She told us she has been working full-time, comes back at 4:30 for a shower and heads to school until late. Every day. Then she told us that that day her professor had mercifully let them out an hour early! It just so happened that it was the same day we went over! Cool coincidence, huh? ;)
A funny ceramic thing we saw outside a potential's house. Best part is this is probably the 4th time we tried to visit this person. It took us 4 times to get the joke!
A bacon-wrapped microwave-chimichanga that Elder Duncan made. This is the kind of food we eat, Mom! ;)
God Bless Texas! I am Elder Black. Thus I end mine epistle.
